STATISTICS

Discovering and Utilizing

I have held positions working with statistics for Western Washington University Athletics in basketball, soccer, and softball, and with the Bellingham Bells summer league baseball team. I have experience both as a statistician taking the stats, and as a media consultant, utilizing the numbers for written and broadcasted work.

I host the Trade Bait podcast, which is a weekly stats-based sports show created, written, edited and produced by me. In addition, I manage the account's Twitter page with 2,500+ followers.

I am also the creator of the Bagley Value Rating (BVR) Score, a metric which compares NFL quarterbacks based on their stats and salary in order to give a more holistic view of a given QB's "value".

Discover below some of my published work from WWU Athletics and the Bells which utilize statistics, take a listen to an episode of Trade Bait, and check out the link to the BVR Score website!

BAGLEY VALUE RATING

BVR Score

In winter 2020, for my Journalism and Statistics Senior Capstones, I created the Bagley Value Rating, which is a new metric designed to better determine the "value" of NFL quarterbacks.

For a complete view of the project, I invite you to read through its webpage, linked below.

TRADE BAIT PODCAST

I started Trade Bait in Summer 2019. The show is focused on creating bite-sized episodes packed with relevant stats, information, analysis, and predictions. I wanted to begin to bridge the gap between numbers and fans, and to do this I used statistics and historical trends to back up my points and tell the full story.

All statistical research is done by me, as well as all of the editing, producing, and managing of the podcast and the podcast twitter page.

Season 1 of Trade Bait was produced in Summer 2019, and Season 2 ran from September 2020 until March 2021. Season 3 was a 5-episode special published for my WWU Honors Program senior capstone project.

I invite you to take a listen below, or follow the links to the show's other pages. Take a look at the show's Twitter page, and click "Trade Bait Home" to be taken to the podcast's home page on Podbean. The show can also be found on Apple Podcasts and Spotify by searching "Trade Bait".

Enjoy the podcast!
